Aden is a port city located in the southern region of Yemen, Known for its strategic location on the Gulf of Aden. It has been an important trading hub for centuries, Attracting merchants from all over the world. The city has a rich history dating back to ancient times when it was ruled by various empires including the Greeks, Romans, And Persians. In the 16th century, It became part of the Ottoman Empire until it was seized by British forces in 1839. Today, Aden is one of Yemen’s largest cities with a population of over 800, 000 people.
