Al Jubayl, Also known as Jubail Industrial City, Is a city located in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. It is situated on the coast of the Persian Gulf and is one of the largest industrial cities in the world. The city was established in 1975 by royal decree to support industrialization and economic development in Saudi Arabia. The city has a population of approximately 300, 000 people and is home to some of the largest petrochemical companies in the world such as SABIC, ExxonMobil and Chevron Phillips.
These companies have invested billions of dollars into Al Jubayl to build state-of-the-art facilities for refining oil, Producing chemicals and manufacturing plastics.
