Bremerton is a city in Kitsap County, Washington, Situated on the Kitsap Peninsula and surrounded by water on three sides. The Puget Sound lies to the west, Port Orchard Bay to the south, And Sinclair Inlet to the east. With a population of around 40, 000 people and an area of approximately 32 square miles, Bremerton was founded in 1891 as a logging town before becoming an important naval base for the United States Navy. Naval Base Kitsap is located in Bremerton and houses several aircraft carriers and submarines. It provides employment opportunities for many residents of Bremerton.

The USS Turner Joy Museum Ship is one of Bremerton’s most popular attractions. This decommissioned destroyer served during both the Vietnam War and Korean War before being converted into a museum ship. Harborside Fountain Park is another popular attraction in Bremerton that features an impressive fountain shooting water up to 60 feet high into the air.
