Budaun is a city in Uttar Pradesh, India, Located on the banks of the Sot River. The river provides irrigation for agriculture. The city has a long history and has been under various dynasties. Budaun is famous for its historical monuments, Including mosques and tombs that showcase Islamic architecture. Jama Masjid, Built during Sultan Iltutmish’s reign in 1223 AD, Is one such mosque with intricate carvings and beautiful calligraphy. Dargah Sharif Shrine houses Sufi saint Sheikh Ahmed Farooqi Sirhindi’s tomb and attracts many visitors every year.

Apart from historical monuments, Budaun also offers natural attractions like Kampil Wildlife Sanctuary that allows tourists to get up close with tigers, Leopards, Deer and antelopes. Agriculture and handicrafts are the primary industries in Budaun. The region produces crops like wheat, Rice and sugarcane sold locally as well as internationally.
