Ciudad General Escobedo is a city in the northeastern state of Nuevo León, Mexico. It is part of Monterrey’s metropolitan area and has a population of around 350, 000 people. The city was founded in 1582 by Spanish settlers and named after General Mariano Escobedo, Who played an important role in the Mexican Revolution. The city has numerous historical landmarks such as San Francisco de Asis Church and Municipal Palace. San Francisco de Asis Church was built in the 18th century with colonial architecture having intricate details on its façade.
