Cuddapah, Also known as Kadapa, Is a city located in the southern state of Andhra Pradesh in India. It is situated on the banks of Penna River and is surrounded by hills on all sides. The city has a rich history dating back to the 2nd century BC and was ruled by various dynasties including the Mauryas, Cholas, Pallavas, Vijayanagara Empire and British. One of the major attractions in Cuddapah is the Sri Venkateswara Wildlife Sanctuary which covers an area of 5, 538 square kilometers. It houses a variety of flora and fauna including tigers, Panthers, Elephants and deer.

The sanctuary also has several waterfalls that are worth visiting. Another popular attraction in Cuddapah is the Gandikota Fort which was built during the 13th century by Kapa Raja Naidu. The fort overlooks Penna River and offers stunning views of its surroundings. It has several temples inside its premises including Madhavaraya Temple which is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The city also has a number of religious sites such as Sri Laxmi Venkateswara Swamy Temple which attracts thousands of devotees every year. Other notable temples include Ameen Peer Dargah which is visited by both Hindus and Muslims alike.

Cuddapah’s cuisine reflects its diverse cultural influences with dishes ranging from spicy Andhra-style curries to Mughlai biryanis. However, Winters (December-February) are pleasant with temperatures ranging between 15-30 degrees Celsius making it an ideal time to visit.
