Dangyang is a city located in the southwestern part of Hubei province, China. It covers an area of approximately 2, 900 square kilometers and has a population of over 800, 000 people. The city is situated on the southern bank of the Yangtze River and surrounded by mountains on three sides. One of its most famous attractions is the Three Gorges Dam which stands at a height of over 180 meters and spans over 2 kilometers across the Yangtze River.
