Dibrugarh is a city in Assam, India that serves as a major commercial and industrial hub of the region. The name Dibrugarh means ‘water fort’ and it’s located on the banks of River Brahmaputra. The city has a rich cultural heritage dating back to ancient times when it was ruled by various dynasties such as Ahom, Chutia, Koch, Etc. During British rule, Dibrugarh became an important tea-producing region with many tea estates being established in and around the city.

Today, Dibrugarh remains one of the major tea-producing regions in India with world-renowned brands like Mancotta Tea Estate and Nahorhabi Tea Estate.
