Ferozepore, Also known as Firozpur, Is a city located in the northwestern Indian state of Punjab. It is situated on the banks of the Sutlej River and has a rich history dating back to ancient times. The city was founded by Feroz Shah Tughlaq in the 14th century and served as an important military outpost during British colonial rule. Ferozepore is known for its strategic location on the border between India and Pakistan. During partition in 1947, It became a major transit point for refugees fleeing from both sides of the border.
