Fukayachō, Situated in the Fukui Prefecture of Japan, Is a small town with a population of around 25, 000 people. The town is located on the coast of the Sea of Japan and is renowned for its stunning natural surroundings and rich cultural heritage. Eiheiji Temple is one of the most famous attractions in Fukayachō. Founded by Dogen Zenji in 1244, It’s one of Japan’s most important Zen temples and still functions as an active monastery today.   3. Fukaya Castle was constructed by Nagao Kageharu, a powerful samurai lord during the Muromachi period in 1456.
  4. The Murasaki Shikibu Festival is an annual event held to honor famous female writer Murasaki Shikibu who lived during the Heian period.
  5. Masaru Ibuka, co-founder of Sony Corporation, lived in Fukayachō before relocating to Tokyo.
