Heze is a city located in the southwestern part of Shandong province, China. It is situated on the banks of the Yellow River and covers an area of approximately 15, 000 square kilometers. The city has a population of over 9 million people and is known for its rich cultural heritage, Beautiful natural scenery, And agricultural products. One of the most famous tourist attractions in Heze is Caozhou Peony Garden. This garden covers an area of over 1, 300 acres and boasts more than 500 varieties of peonies.

  5. The Yellow River Floods: The Yellow River has flooded numerous times throughout history, causing widespread devastation to communities along its banks. In 1855, one such flood destroyed much of what is now modern-day Heze.
  6. Qi Baishi: Qi Baishi was a renowned painter who lived during the early 20th century. His unique style combined traditional Chinese painting techniques with more modern elements.
  7. The Boxer Rebellion: During this anti-foreigner uprising that took place from 1899 to 1901, many foreign missionaries were killed or forced to flee from their homes in Shandong province – including some in what is now part of Heze city limits.
