Juárez, Also known as Ciudad Juárez, Is located in the northern part of Mexico on the border with the United States. Situated in Chihuahua state, It is one of Mexico’s largest cities with a population of over 1.3 million people. The city has a rich history dating back to pre-Columbian times when various indigenous groups such as Sumas and Jumano tribes inhabited it. Spanish explorers arrived in Juárez in 1659 and established settlements, Leading to its development as an important commercial center.

Today, Juárez is renowned for its vibrant culture and diverse population influenced by Mexican and American cultures due to its proximity to El Paso, Texas. This influence can be seen in everything from food to music and art. One of Juárez’s most notable landmarks is Cathedral de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe built-in 1668 by Jesuit missionaries featuring beautiful Baroque and Neoclassical styles architecture. Chamizal National Memorial Park commemorates the peaceful resolution of a land dispute between Mexico and the United States that occurred in 1963.
