Kafue is a town located in the central province of Zambia, Situated on the banks of the Kafue River. The river provides water for both domestic and industrial use, And the town has a population of approximately 20, 000 people mainly engaged in agriculture, Fishing, And small-scale businesses. One of Kafue’s main attractions is the Kafue National Park which covers an area of approximately 22, 400 square kilometers. It is one of Africa’s largest game reserves and home to over 55 mammal species including elephants, Lions, Leopards, Cheetahs, Zebras as well as over 300 bird species.
Visitors can enjoy game drives or walking safaris guided by experienced rangers. Lake Itezhi-Tezhi is another attraction in Kafue created by damming the Kafue River.
