Katlehong is a township located in the east of Johannesburg, South Africa. It is home to over 400, 000 people and is one of the largest townships in the country. The name Katlehong means success or progress in Sesotho, Reflecting the aspirations of its residents. Established during apartheid as a result of forced removals from other areas, Katlehong has developed into a bustling community with its own unique culture and identity. Its lively music scene and vibrant street art reflect the creativity and resilience of its residents.
