Kōenchō is a charming town located in Japan’s Shiga prefecture. It sits on the eastern shore of Lake Biwa, Which is the largest freshwater lake in the country. The town has a population of approximately 8, 000 people and spans an area of about 14 square kilometers. Kōenchō boasts beautiful scenery, Rich history, And cultural heritage that attracts visitors from all over. One of Kōenchō’s main attractions is Hiyoshi Taisha Shrine. This ancient shrine dates back to the 3rd century and was built for Emperor Ōjin, Who was revered as a god by his followers.
