Koumassi is a commune located in the southern part of Abidjan, The largest city and economic capital of Côte d’Ivoire. It is situated on the eastern side of Abidjan and shares borders with Yopougon to the west, Port-Bouët to the south, Marcory to the north, And Treichville to the northwest. The population of Koumassi is estimated at around 500, 000 people. The history of Koumassi dates back to pre-colonial times when it was inhabited by various ethnic groups like Baoulé and Agni.
