Liaoyuan is a city in the Jilin Province of China, Situated in the northeast part of the country. The Songhua River runs through it, And it has a population of over 1 million people.   1. Battle of Liaoyuan (1904) – A major battle during the Russo-Japanese War, where the Japanese defeated the Russian army.

  3. Li Hongzhang – A prominent Qing dynasty statesman and military leader who played a key role in modernizing China’s military and economy.
  4. Zhang Xueliang – A Chinese warlord who controlled Liaoning province, including Liaoyuan, during the 1920s and 1930s.
  5. Manchukuo – A puppet state established by Japan in Northeast China that included Liaoyuan from 1932 to 1945.
  6. Chinese Civil War – During this conflict between Communists and Nationalists, Liaoyuan was briefly occupied by Nationalist forces before falling to Communist control in 1948.
