Marg‘ilon, Also known as Margilan, Is a historic city located in the eastern region of Uzbekistan. It is one of the oldest cities in Central Asia and has played an important role in the Silk Road trade route. The city is famous for its silk production, Traditional crafts, And rich cultural heritage. The city’s history dates back to the 2nd century BC when it was founded by Sogdians. Over time, Marg‘ilon became an important center for trade and commerce between China and Europe. The city was also a hub for Islamic scholarship and education during the Timurid dynasty.

One of Marg‘ilon’s most famous attractions is the Yodgorlik Silk Factory which produces some of the finest silk fabrics in Uzbekistan.
