Puente Alto is a city located in the southeastern part of the Santiago Metropolitan Region, Chile. It is one of the largest and most populated cities in Chile, With a population of over 570, 000 people. The city is situated at an altitude of 650 meters above sea level and covers an area of approximately 89 square kilometers. The name Puente Alto means high bridge in Spanish, Which refers to the old bridge that crossed the Mapocho River during colonial times.
