Sāngli is a city located in the western Indian state of Maharashtra. It is situated on the banks of the river Krishna and is known for its rich cultural heritage, Historical significance, And scenic beauty. The city has a population of around 5 lakh people and is one of the fastest-growing cities in Maharashtra. The history of Sāngli dates back to ancient times when it was ruled by various dynasties like Satavahanas, Rashtrakutas, Yadavas, Bahamanis, Adilshahis and Marathas. The city was named after a sage named Sangameshwar who lived here during ancient times.

It was an important center for trade and commerce during medieval times due to its strategic location on the trade routes between northern India and southern India. One of the major attractions in Sāngli is Ganapati Temple which is dedicated to Lord Ganesha.
