Shikohabad is a small town located in the Firozabad district of Uttar Pradesh, India. The town sits on the banks of River Yamuna and is renowned for its rich cultural heritage. Shikohabad has a population of around 150, 000 people and mainly consists of Hindus and Muslims. The town has an interesting historical background as it was once ruled by Mughal emperor Jahangir’s son Prince Khusrau Mirza. According to local legends, The prince used to visit the place during his exile from Delhi. The name Shikohabad itself comes from Prince Khusrau’s nickname ‘Shikoh.’

One of the most famous attractions in Shikohabad is its railway station which was constructed in 1886 during British rule. The station features unique architecture that combines Hindu and Islamic styles with Gothic influences. It also boasts an art deco clock tower that adds to its charm. Another notable attraction in Shikohabad is the Jama Masjid – one of the oldest mosques in Uttar Pradesh built during Mughal rule. The mosque showcases intricate carvings on marble pillars and walls, Adding to its beauty.
