Volzhskiy is a city situated in the Volgograd Oblast region of Russia, On the banks of the Volga River. The city has a population of around 315, 000 people and covers an area of 427 square kilometers. It was established in 1951 as an industrial center to support the construction of the nearby Volga Hydroelectric Station. The economy of the city is primarily based on heavy industry and manufacturing, With major industries including metallurgy, Chemical production, And engineering.
