Waldorf is a small community located in Charles County, Maryland, United States. It is situated approximately 23 miles southeast of Washington D.C. and has a population of around 68, 000 people. The town was named after William Waldorf Astor who was an American-born British politician and businessman. The town of Waldorf is known for its rich history and vibrant culture. One of the most popular attractions in the area is the Dr. Samuel A Mudd House Museum which is dedicated to the life and legacy of Dr. Samuel Mudd who treated John Wilkes Booth after he assassinated President Abraham Lincoln.
