Wenchang is a city located in the northeastern part of Hainan Island, China. It has a population of approximately 500, 000 people and covers an area of 2, 403 square kilometers. Wenchang is known for its rich history and culture that dates back to the Han dynasty. One of the most famous landmarks in Wenchang is the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site. This site was established in 1957 and has since been used for various space missions by China’s space program. It is one of four launch sites in China and has launched more than 50 spacecraft into orbit.
