Zhufeng, Or Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Is a magnificent mountain range situated in China’s Yunnan province. It is a popular tourist destination due to its natural beauty and cultural significance. The mountain range extends for 35 kilometers and has an average elevation of 4, 000 meters above sea level. The name Jade Dragon Snow Mountain comes from its resemblance to a jade dragon lying on the ground with snow-covered peaks resembling scales. The mountain is home to several glaciers and snow-capped peaks that remain visible throughout the year.

It also contains rare species of plants and animals such as the Yunnan Golden Monkey which are exclusive to this area. One of Zhufeng’s most sought-after attractions is its cable car ride that takes visitors up over 4, 000 meters above sea level. From here, Visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape including other peaks such as Haba Snow Mountain and Meili Snow Mountain. Another attraction at Zhufeng is Baisha Old Town which dates back over 800 years ago with preserved traditional architecture including wooden houses with intricate carvings and colorful murals depicting local folklore.

Zhufeng has a rich cultural heritage with several ethnic minority communities living in the region such as Naxi people who have their own unique language and customs. Visitors can experience their culture by attending traditional festivals or visiting local markets where they sell handcrafted goods like embroidered clothing or silver jewelry.
