Zomba is a city in the southern region of Malawi, East Africa. It was once the capital of Malawi and is located on the foothills of Zomba Mountain, Which stands at 1, 800 meters above sea level. The city covers an area of approximately 1, 200 square kilometers and has a population of around 100, 000 people. Zomba’s history dates back to the early 19th century when it was established as a trading post by Arab traders. Later on, It became a British colonial administrative center in the late 1800s.

One such landmark is the famous Zomba Plateau which sits majestically overlooking the city.
