Hafr al Batin is a city located in the northeastern part of Saudi Arabia, Situated in the Eastern Province. It covers an area of approximately 18, 000 square kilometers and has a population of around 160, 000 people. The city has a rich cultural heritage and historical significance dating back to ancient times when it was an important trading center on the caravan route between Mesopotamia and the Arabian Peninsula.

During its early years, Hafr al Batin played a significant role in the development of Islam as one of the first places where Prophet Muhammad sent his emissaries to spread Islam.
