The city boasts a population of approximately 2.5 million people, Making it one of the largest cities in Egypt. Al Manşūrah is strategically located on the east bank of Nile River, And it has a rich history and cultural heritage. The city was founded by Al-Kamil, A Muslim ruler known for his military conquests and political achievements in 1219. He named it Al Mansurah which means the victorious in Arabic.
