Al Minyā, Also known as El-Minya, Is a city located in the central region of Egypt. It is the capital of the Al Minya Governorate and has a population of approximately 250, 000 people. Al Minyā is situated on the banks of the Nile River and is surrounded by fertile agricultural land. The city has a rich history dating back to ancient times. It was once known as Akhetaten during the reign of Pharaoh Akhenaten in the 18th dynasty. During this time, It served as an important religious center for worshiping Aten, The sun disk deity.
