Aqtöbe, Also known as Aktobe, Is a city located in the northwestern region of Kazakhstan. It serves as the administrative center for the Aqtöbe Region and has a population of approximately 400, 000 residents. The city is situated on the banks of the Ilek River and is surrounded by vast steppes and hills. The history of Aqtöbe can be traced back to ancient times when it was part of the Great Silk Road trade route. In 1869, It was founded as a small fortification for Russian troops during their conquest of Central Asia.

During Soviet times, Aqtöbe became an important industrial center with factories producing machinery, Chemicals, And textiles. Today, Aqtöbe remains an important industrial hub with a diverse economy that includes oil refining, Metallurgy, Agriculture, And food processing.
