The name Arba Minch means forty springs in Amharic language due to the numerous springs found in the area. One of the primary tourist attractions in Arba Minch is Lake Chamo, Which is one of two lakes that form Nechisar National Park. The lake houses various wildlife species such as crocodiles, Hippos and over 200 bird species.
