Ash Shīḩānīyah is a city located in the Al Rayyan municipality of Qatar, About 20 kilometers west of Doha. With a population of over 8, 000 people, It has become an important commercial and industrial hub in recent years. One of the main attractions in Ash Shīḩānīyah is the Al Shahaniya Camel Racetrack. This racetrack hosts some of Qatar’s most popular camel races and has become an iconic part of Qatari culture since its construction in 1972.
