Bălţi is the second-largest city in Moldova, Located in the northern part of the country, Approximately 135 km from the capital city of Chisinau. The city has a population of around 150, 000 people and is an important industrial center for Moldova. Bălţi is also known for its cultural heritage, With several historical landmarks and museums. One of the most notable landmarks in Bălţi is the Cathedral of St. Constantine and Elena which was built in 1836 and is considered one of the most beautiful religious buildings in Moldova.
