Baojishi, Also known as Baoji City, Is a prefecture-level city in the western part of Shaanxi Province, China. The city spans 18, 175 square kilometers and has a population of over 3.7 million people. It is situated on the Wei River and is surrounded by the Qinling Mountains to the south and Loess Plateau to the north. Baojishi has a long history that dates back more than 2, 000 years. During China’s Han Dynasty (206 BC – AD 220), It was an important military stronghold and served as a gateway between central China and western regions like Tibet and Xinjiang.

Today, Baojishi boasts numerous historical sites such as Famen Temple which houses one of Buddha’s finger bones.
