Belgaum, Also known as Belagavi, Is a beautiful city situated in the northern part of Karnataka state in India. The city is surrounded by the Western Ghats mountain range and sits at an elevation of 2, 500 feet above sea level. Belgaum has a rich history that dates back to the medieval period and has been ruled by various dynasties such as Chalukyas, Rashtrakutas, Bahamanis, Vijayanagar Empire and Marathas.
