Bharatpur, Known as the Eastern Gateway to Rajasthan, Is a city in India’s Rajasthan state. Maharaja Suraj Mal founded it in 1733 and served as the capital of the Jat kingdom until annexed by the British in 1826. The city boasts rich cultural heritage, Historical monuments, And wildlife sanctuaries. Keoladeo National Park is one of Bharatpur’s most visited attractions and was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985. It covers an area of 29 square kilometers and houses over 370 bird species, Including migratory birds like Siberian cranes and pelicans.
