Bukavu is a city located in the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Also known as Congo-Kinshasa. It is situated on the southern shores of Lake Kivu, Which borders Rwanda to the east and DRC to the west. Bukavu serves as one of the main commercial centers for South Kivu province, With a population estimated at around 1 million people.
