Bukit Mertajam is a town in Penang, Malaysia, Situated on the mainland side of the state. With a population of over 200, 000 people, It is one of the largest towns in Penang and serves as a hub for commerce, Industry, And transportation. The town’s history dates back to the 19th century when it was established by Chinese immigrants as a trading post.

Today, Bukit Mertajam retains much of its heritage with historical landmarks like St. Anne’s Church built-in 1888 that remains an important pilgrimage site for Catholics.
