Kirātot, Also known as Kirtipur, Is a small town located in the Kathmandu Valley of Nepal. It is situated on a hill at an altitude of 1, 433 meters above sea level and is surrounded by lush green forests and terraced fields. Kirātot has a rich history that dates back to the 12th century when it was ruled by the Malla dynasty. One of the main attractions in Kirātot is its traditional Newari architecture. The town has many ancient temples and monuments that have been well-preserved over time.

The Bagh Bhairav Temple, Built in the 16th century, Is one such temple that attracts many tourists every year. The temple houses a statue of Lord Bhairav made from black stone and adorned with gold ornaments.
