Cainta is a first-class municipality located in the province of Rizal, Philippines. It is situated east of Metro Manila and shares borders with Pasig City to the west, Taytay to the north, Antipolo City to the east, And Angono to the south. According to the 2020 census, Cainta has a population of over 330, 000 people. The town’s name originated from Kasuy-tan which means place where cashew trees grow. During Spanish colonial times, Cainta was known for its abundant cashew trees. Today it remains famous for its sweet and crunchy roasted cashews.

St. Therese of Lisieux Parish Church is one of Cainta’s most notable landmarks. It was built in 1953 with a unique modernist design by National Artist Leandro Locsin and has become an iconic structure attracting many visitors every year. Sta. Lucia East Grand Mall is another popular destination in Cainta that offers a variety of shops ranging from local boutiques to international brands like H&M and Uniqlo.
