The city is surrounded by several other cities like Addison, Farmers Branch, Lewisville and Coppell. One of the most fascinating things about Carrollton is its rich history dating back to the mid-1800s when European immigrants first settled there. The city was named after Carrollton, Illinois and was initially established as a farming community with cotton being its primary crop.
However, Over time it transformed into an industrial center with various manufacturing plants setting up shop in the area.
