Chattogram, Which was formerly known as Chittagong, Is the second-largest city in Bangladesh and a significant port city located on the southeastern coast of the country. The city has a rich history that dates back to the 4th century BC when it was part of an ancient civilization called Samatata. Chattogram has been ruled by many empires such as Mauryan, Gupta, Pala and Mughal dynasties before becoming part of British India in 1760. Today, Chattogram is a bustling commercial hub with a population of over 6 million people.

The city’s economy is mainly driven by its seaport which handles more than 90% of Bangladesh’s international trade.
