Deo is a small town located in Maharashtra, India on the banks of the Krishna river. It has a population of around 10, 000 people and is surrounded by forests and hills. The Deobai Temple is a famous attraction in Deo, Dedicated to Goddess Deobai. Constructed in the 18th century by Peshwa Baji Rao I, It draws thousands of devotees annually. Deo has a rich history dating back to ancient times and was ruled by various dynasties before being conquered by the Marathas in the 17th century.

The fort built during Shivaji Maharaj’s reign stands atop a hill overlooking the town.
