Ezhou is a city in Hubei province, China, Located on the Yangtze River. The city covers an area of 1, 504 square kilometers and has a population of over one million people. Ezhou has been a center for trade and commerce since ancient times due to its strategic location along the river. During the Han dynasty, Ezhou was known as Yuezhou and was an important hub for salt production and distribution. Today, It remains an important transportation hub with several major highways passing through it.
