Ganganagar, Also known as Sri Ganganagar, Is a city located in the northernmost part of Rajasthan, India. Maharaja Ganga Singh established the city in 1927 and named it after himself. The city sits on the banks of river Sutlej and shares a border with Punjab province of Pakistan. Ganganagar has a rich history and culture. It was once part of Bikaner state before India’s independence in 1947. The architecture reflects its history with many buildings having colonial touches blended with traditional Rajasthani style. The Hindumalkot Border separating India from Pakistan is one of the major attractions in Ganganagar.

Tourists can witness the flag hoisting ceremony that takes place every evening at this border post which attracts thousands of visitors every day. Shri Balaji Dham temple is another must-visit place in Ganganagar which houses Lord Hanuman’s statue standing tall at 104 feet high making it one among the tallest statues in India.
