Hanam is a city located in the Gyeonggi Province of South Korea, Just 25 kilometers east of Seoul. It has a population of around 150, 000 people and covers an area of approximately 93 square kilometers. The history of Hanam dates back to the Three Kingdoms period (57 BC – AD 668) when it was known as Hwado-gun and served as an important agricultural center. Today, Hanam is known for its modern amenities and excellent quality of life.

The city has experienced rapid development in recent years with new residential areas, Shopping centers, And entertainment facilities popping up all over town. One example is Starfield Hanam Shopping Mall which opened in September 2016; it is one of the largest shopping malls in South Korea with over 450 stores. Hanam also boasts several cultural attractions that are worth visiting such as Seongnam Arts Center which offers various performances including musicals, Plays, Concerts and exhibitions throughout the year.
