Hisar is a city located in the northern Indian state of Haryana, Situated about 166 km northwest of Delhi. It has a population of approximately 3 lakh people and boasts a rich history dating back to the Indus Valley Civilization. The city was once an important center for trade and commerce during the Mughal era. One of the most notable landmarks in Hisar is its ancient fort, Built during the reign of Firoz Shah Tughlaq in the 14th century. The fort has several gates, Including Delhi Gate, Mori Gate, Talaqi Gate, And Nagauri Gate.

It also houses several temples including Gujri Mahal and Jahaz Kothi. Another popular attraction in Hisar is Pranpir Badshah’s Tomb which dates back to the Mughal era. The tomb features intricate carvings on its walls and ceilings that are reminiscent of Mughal architecture.   1. The Battle of Hissar-Ferozeshah: This battle took place on 21-22 December 1845 between the British East India Company and Sikh Empire near Hissar. The Sikhs were defeated in this battle.
