It is approximately 22 kilometers away from the capital city of Buenos Aires and has a population of around 16, 000 residents. The city was named after José María Ezeiza, An Argentine aviator who was born in Buenos Aires in 1894. He founded Aeroposta Argentina which operated flights between Buenos Aires and Patagonia to connect remote areas with major cities.
