Kaikkudi is a small town located in the Sivaganga district of Tamil Nadu, India. It is known for its rich cultural heritage and traditional music style called Carnatic music. The town is situated on the banks of river Vaigai and has a population of around 70, 000 people. The history of Kaikkudi dates back to the Chola dynasty, Which ruled over this region during the medieval period. The town was an important center for trade and commerce during that time as it was located on the ancient spice route connecting India with other countries in Asia and Europe.
