Navadwīp is a historical town situated in West Bengal, India, On the banks of the Ganges River. It is renowned for its spiritual significance and cultural heritage. Navadwīp is considered to be one of the most important pilgrimage centers for followers of Gaudiya Vaishnavism, A branch of Hinduism. The name Navadwīp means nine islands in Bengali because there are nine islands that make up the town surrounded by water bodies such as rivers, Canals, And lakes that add to its natural beauty.
